Odyssey Marine Exploration Files Amended Registration Statement

Tampa, FL - September 13, 2005 - Odyssey Marine Exploration (AMEX: OMR), a leader in the field of deep-ocean shipwreck exploration, announced today the Company filed an amendment to its S-3 registration statement, originally filed on March 29, 2005.

Today's amended filing does not register any new shares beyond those sought-to-be registered in the March 2005 S-3 filing. Today's filing has been updated to include information such as the status of the Company's new shipwreck attraction in New Orleans, current common stock outstanding, as well as incorporated information from the latest Form 10-Q filing for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.
